Transit Australia Group’s Board consists of:
Joe and Tony each have more than 40 years of experience in the bus industry and are respected and recognised Queensland entrepreneurs, having first operated public bus services in western Sydney in the 1980’s.
They are both heavily involved in the Queensland and Australian bus industry and the business community generally and hold numerous board positions across several industries.
Luke has nearly 30 years’ experience in the bus passenger transport industry, including with Greyhound and Transit Australia Group. Having held senior management roles over a number of years including as General Manager, Luke was appointed Director in 2002, Managing Director in 2003 and Executive Chairman in 2013. Luke also serves as a board member for a not-for-profit sporting club.
Wayne has a career spanning 40 years in government and public transport. He held senior management roles in the Queensland Department of Transport, including leading significant reform development and implementation in the public transport industry. Wayne has worked in executive management roles with the Transit International Group in London and became a Managing Director of Transit Australia in 1995, playing an integral part in transitioning the business after its acquisition by Surfside in 2007. Wayne has been a board member of the Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) since its inception and has served as President for four years. He also serves as the President of the Australian Public Transport Industrial Association (APTIA). Wayne is also the Chairman of the Bus Industry Confederation (BIC) and serves as a board member and Chairman of the Ipswich Turf Club.
Michael is a former equity partner and Chief Operating Officer of KPMG’s national private enterprise practice. He has more than 38 years’ experience advising private enterprise in all aspects of business, including tax, strategic business planning, compliance and corporate governance.
